| Comment | Sometimes attributed to M. L. Grimstone, but the weight of evidence is against it. "Oscar" published Zayda and a collection of poems entitled Cleone in 1821 "by the author of Zayda"; prefatory material indicates a male writer. Grimstone published a novel entitled Cleone in 1834. |
