WILLIAMS, Miss (fl 1813-16)
Miss Williams, the sister of Joseph Williams, Esq. of Glanarvon (Glanyrafon)—a village in Flintshire, Wales—had three of her poems published in London in 1813-16, the two listed here and a third, An Invocation to Fortune, which was announced in the New Monthly Magazine in 1815 and cited on the title-page of Fashion in 1816 but of which no extant copy has been located. Unfortunately all were rather short and slight and there appear to have been no reviews. Nor have public records revealed anything certain about either the brother or the sister.
