WEBSTER, David (1787-1837: PP)

He was born in Dunblane, Perthshire. His father was Archibald Webster but his mother’s name is not known. His father’s death when Webster was very young put an end to any ambitions for his education and he was apprenticed to a weaver in Paisley. He worked in Paisley for the rest of his life but PP notes that he often neglected work for the pleasures of drinking. No record of a marriage or children has been found, He died in Paisley.
