PRICE, James Cave (fl 1827-47)

Price published his first collection of poetry in Virginia and registered the second there, although he had it published in New York in 1847 as "by a Virginian." A third title, "Climax of Iniquity," is an opera libretto, a part of Ignis Fatuus that is sometimes removed from it and recorded as a separate title. A possible birth date is 1802 but no really reliable information about him has been discovered. HJ
