Author: Page, Thomas

Biography:

PAGE, Thomas (fl 1829)

Page’s only known volume of verse, Three Poems, was printed in Portsea (in Portsmouth), Hampshire, by a printer with an address on Union Street, where Page also lived at the time. In doggerel couplets he tells his story as a reformed sinner, redeemed by the blood of Christ and labouring to bring other sinners to salvation. Specific details are scarce, however, in the preface and in the poems themselves, and the name of the author was too common in the area to identify him further. HJ
