MCNIGHT, Andrew (fl 1799)
He was a private soldier in the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Edinburgh Volunteers. The book was published by subscription but there is no list; the preface thanks subscribers in the Volunteers and in Dumfries. He may have been the Andrew McNight who was baptised on 25 May 1770 at Holyrood, Dumfries, the son of Andrew McNight and his wife Janet Milligan.
