No biographical information that can be linked to this author with any certainty has been located. His book is listed in O’Donoghue simply as Astronomy, a Poetical Essay and just one copy is known to survive, in the Linenhall Library, Belfast. The full title from the Linenhall catalogue is: A poetical essay relative to the glorious science of Astronomy, animated nature &c. Occasionaly [sic] interspersed with several hypothesis [sic] and promiscuous observations on the plurality of similar worlds in the solar system, so apparantly [sic] analogous to this terraqueous globe which we inhabit, proved by analogical affinities, and astronomical ratiocination. With an introduction, explaining several interesting particulars in this abstruse science, in a simple and familiar manner. (O’Donoghue)
