Author: Martin, Thomas
Biography:
MARTIN, Thomas (fl 1820-24), pseudonym Hudibras the Younger
The source of the questionable attribution of two satirical poems of the early 1820s to “Thomas Martin” has not been traced. (It is not HL.) All they seem to have in common—one of them being part of a general trend of London satires against the dissolute life of George IV, and the other a contribution to a local literary dispute in Birmingham—is the chosen pseudonym. No certain information has been found about the alleged author.
