Author: Macdonald, John Paul

Biography:

MACDONALD, John Paul (fl 1815)

An address at the end of his book is dedicated to the Prince Regent and identifies the author as the great-nephew of Angus Macdonald of Keppoch whose lands were forfeited in 1715. Other than that he was a teacher at Stonehaven, Kincardineshire, no biographical information has been located. Norie describes the verse as "execrable but quaint."
