Le Guire, Amos (fl 1828)

His surname is sometimes given as LeGuire or Leguire. Very little information is available about him. The first edition was printed at Haverstraw NY. It was publicized as a "juvenile" work but according to a sarcastic review of the following year, the author was already a few months over forty, in which case he must have been born in 1788. (The Critic [1829]: 405)
