Biography:
KNIGHT, Antonio (1795-1882: ancestry.com)
He was the half-brother of Henry Cogswell Knight and Frederick Knight (qq.v.), the son of Joseph Knight and his second wife, Mary Treadwell of Ipswich MA. His mother died when he was only about a month old. When their father died also, about 1797, the two older boys were sent to live with their maternal grandparents. Some other provision was made for Antonio; perhaps the Treadwells took him. He became a physician; his first publication (1823) was a collection of medical observations. He does not appear ever to have married. He died in Ipswich--in a hospital for the insane, according to DAB. (DAB, under "Knight, Henry Cogswell") HJ
