Author: King, William
Biography:
KING, William (fl 1799-1806)
King's first Nelson poem identified the author as W. King, Jun.; by the time of the second he was "William King, author of" the first. Presumably his father, also William King, had died in the interval. Both works were printed and distributed in Salisbury and nearby towns, so it seems reasonable to assume that the author was a resident of Wiltshire. Beyond that, no reliable information has been discovered.
