Author: Kenney, John-Henry

Biography:

KENNEY, John-Henry (fl 1808)

Very little is known about this author but contemporary reviews of his Burniad, which were generally approving, reveal that he was an Irishman. It seems quite likely that he was the unhyphenated John Henry Kenney, Esq., who held the position of Registrar of the town of Elphin, Co. Roscommon in 1820 and was still in that position with a son, Edwin Brooke Kenney, as Deputy Registrar, in 1843. No records of his birth, marriage, or death, however, have been discovered.
