Biography:
Kellogg, Ezekiel (1753-1839: ancestry.com)
The son of Ezekiel and Hannah (Southwick) Kellogg, he was born in New Salem MA. He joined the Massachusetts militia and held a commission in it for twenty years, rising to the rank of Major and retiring with a pension. After the Revolution he acted as a justice of the peace for 21 years and as State Representative for seven. By his first marriage, in 1776, to Eunice Foster, he had eight children; by his second (1795), to Juliet (Parker) Cahoon, seven more. He eventually settled in Littleton NH, where he is buried. The evidence supporting the attribution of his one publication is solid: his MS signature in one copy and a supporting letter from his grandson. (ancestry.com 5 July 2019; W. R.
