Author: Hobkirk, David
Biography:
HOBKIRK, David (fl 1828)
Little biographical information has been discovered. His first book was dedicated to the barrister James Losh, of Jesmond Grove, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and the Preface dated from Newcastle. He likely was a member of the Corinthians, a literary club for tradesmen there. A second collection, The Florentine Brothers, was dedicated to Letitia Elizabeth Landon (q.v.), with her permission..
