GRAY, Charlesworth (1777-1852: ancestry.co.uk)
He was born on 3 July 1777 and baptised later that month at Mill Hill (Independent), Leeds, the son of Robert Gray and his wife Elizabeth Bramley. His identity is further confirmed by his brother, Marmaduke (1776-1816), to whose memory he addressed a poem in Mercator (1819). He is listed in the 1851 Census and in Slater’s Directory (1850) as a glass merchant trading at 11 Princess Road, Plymouth, where he died in 1852, aged 74.
