GOLDINGHAM, Henry (fl 16th century)
His name is sometimes given as Harry Goldyngham. The Garden Plot, published by the Roxburghe Club, was transcribed and edited by Francis Wrangham (q.v.) from the manuscript in the Harleian Collection of Manuscripts, BL. Nothing is known for certain about Goldingham’s life other than that he was a musician, actor, and wit in the court of Elizabeth I. Wrangham’s Advertisement to the book includes all the known anecdotes about Goldingham.
