Biography:
FRIER, Thomas (fl 1813-18)
Thomas Frier like John Frier (q.v.) who must have been his brother, was a cabinet maker with a business in South Shields. In his case even fewer records and less internal evidence are available but his name appears in lists of insolvent debtors applying for release from prison in Jan. 1813 and Feb. 1815. His "panegyrical poem" on the death of Princess Charlotte is his only known publication. (London Gazette Supplement 4 Jan. 1813, p. 43; London Gazette [1815] 2747)
