FITZGERALD, Preston (fl 1810-13)
Information is scanty. He graduated BA from Trinity College Dublin in 1798 and LLB in 1806; this suggests a birth year of about 1778. In May 1807 he married a Miss Pringle in Dublin. They had children, including one daughter, Geraldine. A newspaper announcement about his estate indicates that he died in or before 1836. The Siege of Carthage by William Fitzgerald (q.v.) is sometimes erroneously attributed to him.
