Biography:
FITCH, Elijah (1745-88: WBIS)
Born in Windham CT to John and Alice Fitch, he graduated from Yale in 1765 and served as minister of the Congregational church in Hopkinton MA from 1771 until his death. His book was published posthumously by subscription, a notice by a friend apologizing for the delay due to the "long indisposition" of the author. He appears to have married--his wife's name was Hannah--but there is no record of children. His only other publications are occasional sermons. (Dexter; Appleton; ancestry.com 5 Dec. 2018) HJ
