Fellowes, Jeremiah (1791-1865: Hollis)
The only information about him is inferred from the Preface and contents of his only book, which is dated from Exeter NH. He was well read in recent English and German poetry (Cowper was a favourite, but he cites many others, including Cottle, Moore, Byron, Burns, Lessing, and Gessner); he appears to have attended Phillips Academy in Exeter and then Bowdoin College in Brunswick ME. He promises more poetry if the volume is well received--but it seems it was not, for there was no second volume.
