ELLIOTT, William (fl 1826)
The title page of The Nun identifies him as of the 58th Regiment in the Bengal Native Infantry. Some of the poems in the same book indicate that he may have come from Enfield, Middlesex. He seems to have been well-educated. Elliott was in Enfield in 1822 but in Cadiz, Spain, in 1823. Nothing more is known. SR
