Biography:

DALEE, Justus (1793-1878: ancestry.com)

(The name is recorded both as Dalee and as DaLee.) He was an artist and a teacher of penmanship, born in Pittstown NY to James Waterman DaLee and Anstis Kinnicut DaLee. He served as a musician in the US army in the War of 1812. In 1816 he married Mary Fowler; they had ten children. He died in Eden WI and is buried there.
