COLHOUN, David (b 1747: Bradley)

W. Shaw Mason states that he was an antiquary from Newtownstewart, County Tyrone, Ireland; he was also clerk of his parish. “Mary Gray” is the name of one of the hills near Newtownstewart. Bradley, in a history of Strabane, gives a birth date of 18 Mar. 1747 for Colhoun but no public records have been located. His book was published by subscription. (O’Donoghue; W.
