CLARK, Isaac (1774-1813: Hollis)
His title-page describes him as a resident "of Sumner County, Tennessee." According to Cisco, his Miscellany was "the first book of a literary character published in Nashville." He was a lawyer, and an unsuccessful candidate for election to Congress in 1810. He may be the Isaac Clark who married Nancy Bounds in Knox TN in 1794. (J. G. Cisco, Historic Sumner County . . .
