Biography:
CLAPP, Samuel Capen (1810-31: Stockbridge)
He took pleasure in music and his poems were written generally with favourite tunes in mind. At the age of 15, he was apprenticed to a printer. It is likely that this was in a family firm, since the memorial volume of his poems was published by Clapp and Hull in Boston.
