Biography:
CHALONER, John (1780-1862: WBIS)
He was born at Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, Ireland, to John Chaloner and Jane (Hunt) Chaloner, and became a captain in the British army, serving in H.M. 36th Regiment during the disastrous expedition to South America in 1807.
