Biography:
BULMER, Agnes, formerly Collinson (1775-1836: DCB)
Born in London to Edward and Elizabeth (Ball) Collinson and a member of the Wesleyan community to which she was admitted by Wesley himself, she married a fellow Methodist, Joseph Bulmer, in 1793. She continued to be active in Methodist groups after his death in 1822, writing elegies and memoirs, as well as children's versions of stories from the Bible that were collected as Scripture Histories (1837-8). Her sister A. R. Collinson published a Memoir of her (1837). (RPW, ODNB 4 Jan. 2018)
