Author: Bullen, Sarah

Biography:

BULLEN, Sarah (1786-1827: findmypast.co.uk)

She was baptised on 17 Oct. 1786, the eldest daughter of Mark Bullen, Innkeeper of the Hoop Inn, Jesus Lane, Cambridge--the "famous Inn" of Prelude (1805) 3: 15--and his wife Sarah Forlow, who had married the previous year. Her Mary de Rochford, or, the Banks of the Cam (1821) is rare, with the Dedication signed “the Innkeeper’s Daughter” leading to her identification. She died on 20 May 1827 and was buried on 23 May (as Sarah Forlow Bullen) at Chesterton. Her parents survived her.
