Biography:
BRYANT, Michael (fl 1820-40)
O’Donoghue states that he was doubtless Irish but no public records have been located for this singer and writer of popular songs. He was associated with the Coburg theatre (now the Old Vic) from about 1820 and, later, with the English Opera House. Some of his works may have been performed but not published. His last known publication is The Blackbird; Being a New Selection of Much Admired Songs (1840?). (O’Donoghue)
