BROWNE, A. W. (fl 1826)
He was a student at Trinity College Dublin when his book was published. It is dedicated to the Rev. Henry Griffin, a fellow of the college, “by his obliged pupil.” The preface states that the poems were composed when the author was between sixteen and seventeen. Likely he was the Abraham William Browne, son of David, who was admitted to Trinity on 1 Nov. 1824 when he was 18. That he is not recorded in Catalogue of Graduates suggests he never graduated.
