Biography:
BROWNE, A. W. (fl 1826)
He was a student at Trinity College Dublin when his book was published. It is dedicated to the Rev. Henry Griffin, a fellow of the college, “by his obliged pupil.” The preface states that the poems were composed when the author was between sixteen and seventeen. No other information has been located. Possibly he was the Alexander Browne who gained his BA at Trinity in 1827 and his MA in 1832. SR
