BOND, C. R. (1788-1860: ancestry.co.uk)

The likely author of Time’s Triumph was Charles Radcliffe Bond, the son of John Bond and his wife Frances Radcliffe of London. He was born on 19 Mar. 1788 and baptised at the church of St. John at Hampstead on 18 Apr. In Dec. 1827 he married Eliza Goulty, sister of the non-conformist minister J. N. Goulty, of Brighton. They had four daughters and one son whose name was also Charles Radcliffe Bond; he became a physician. The family lived at 39 Edward’s Square, Kensington. The 1851 Census shows him living there with three daughters after the death of his wife in 1850. His occupation is given as landed proprietor. He died on 17 Feb. 1860 and was buried in Brompton Cemetery on 23 Feb. 1860. (ancestry.co.uk 17 Feb. 2023; Morning Post 10 Dec. 1827; Sun 20 Feb. 1860)
