Biography:

BIGLOW, William (1773-1844: WBIS)

Born in Natick MA, he graduated from Harvard in 1794 (AM 1804) and became Principal of the Boston Latin School. He was the author of many schoolbooks for the teaching of Latin and English, and of some works in local history, such as his history of Natick (1830). Two of the poems in his Phi Beta Kappa series, Commencement (1811) and Re-re-commencement (1812) are excluded from our records because they are under ten pages long. (Appleton) HJ
