BIGLOW, William (1773-1844: ancestry.com)
Born in Natick MA on 21 Sept. 1773, he was the son of William Biglow or Bigelow and his wife Hephzibah Russell. He graduated from Harvard in 1794 (AM 1804) and became Principal of the Boston Latin School. He was the author of many schoolbooks for the teaching of Latin and English, and of some works in local history, such as his history of Natick (1830). Two of the poems in his Phi Beta Kappa series, Commencement (1811) and Re-re-commencement (1812) are excluded from our records because they are under ten pages long. With Margaret Lander, whom he married on 12 Jan. 1798 at Salem, he had three children. He died at Boston on 12 Jan. 1844 and was buried in the South Natick burial ground.
