BEEMAN, Anna (1739-1809: Todd 1)

Hymn writer and Baptist polemicist, born in Stratford CT. She married Park Beeman of Warren CT and they had nine children. Her Three Letters to a Lady in Opposition to the Baptist Plan (1794) defends the Baptist practice of adult baptism. (Todd 1, ancestry.com 21 Nov. 2017) HJ
