Author: Barlow, John
Biography:
BARLOW, John (fl 1798-1805)
A teacher “of languages, geography, and the globes,” as stated on the title page of Loss of the Abergavenny, but no certain biographical information has been located. A John Barlow, son of Benjamin Barlow and his wife Jane Owen, was baptised in Dorchester on 12 Feb. 1781; possibly this was he although he would have been just seventeen when The Honorable Britons was published.
