Atwood, Joshua (1756-1813: Hollis)

Born in Bradford MA to Joshua and Mehitabel (Seavey) Atwood; died in Cornish Flat NH. He appears to have served as a Private in Gilman's Regiment of the New Hampshire Militia in 1776 during the Revolutionary War. He and his wife Sarah had one son, William. In the poem published jointly with his younger brother John (q.v.), he wrote the first of the two cantos. (ancestry.com) HJ
