ATWOOD, John (1768-1840: ancestry.com)
Born in Pelham NH, he was one of the youngest of several children of Joshua and Mehitabel (Seavey) Atwood. He wrote the second canto (of two) of the poem published with his brother Joshua, q.v.. He died at Hudson NH on 15 Apr. 1840, leaving a widow, Elisabeth, and at least one child. She was probably the Elizabeth Campbell who married John Atwood in New Hampshire on 27 June 1803.
