ASTON, James (fl. 1828)
Likely he was the brother of Edward Aston with whom he published Pompeii. No biographical information has been located. The poems indicate that the authors were likely born and raised in Devon, well-educated, and had travelled throughout Europe. No public records that can be linked to either Edward or James have yet been located, and they are not recorded in Alumni Oxonienses and ACAD. SR
