Author: Andrews, William
Biography:
ANDREWS, William (fl. 1793)
Information is wanting. The title page of his Poetical Works identifies him as an attorney in Southampton. A William Andrews, attorney, published An Address to the Public in Southampton in 1774 and is also named in various legal notices during the same year: this may have been him or, possibly, his father. William and Ann Andrews had a son, William, who was baptised at All Saints Church, Southampton, on 24 Feb. 1764. However there is no certain evidence linking either father or son to the Poetical Works. No further volumes of the Works were issued.
