ANDERSON, William (c. 1746-1800: Angus Album)

pseudonym The Lamb-leader

He was born at Kingoldrum, Angus, where his father was the parish schoolmaster. It is not certain, but he may have been the William Anderson, son of James, who was baptised on 23 Mar. 1746. He may have attended Marischal College, Aberdeen; he later worked as a private tutor in Kirriemuir. On his death, he left a manuscript book, “Humorous Essays in Verse.” (The Angus Album [1834] 11-12; ancestry.co.uk 30 Jan. 2025) SR
