ANDERSON, William (c. 1746-1800: Angus Album)

pseudonym The Lamb-leader

He was born at Kingoldrum, Angus, where his father was the parish schoolmaster. He was likely the William  Anderson, son of John, who was baptised at Kingoldrum on 13 Nov. 1751. He may have attended Marischal College, Aberdeen; he later worked as a private tutor in Kirriemuir. On his death, he left a manuscript book, “Humorous Essays in Verse.” (The Angus Album [1834] 11-12; ancestry.co.uk 30 May 2025) SR
