Biography:
ADIE, Charles Morgan (1771-1834: Fasti Ecclesiae Scoticanae)
Not to be confused with Charles Adie, DD and minister of the parish of Dundee 1848-61. He was the son of the Rev. James Adie (or Addie) of Kilmaronock, Dunbartonshire, and his wife Margaret Campbell. The Rev. James Adie was minister at Kilmaronock 1771 until his death in 1787. His son gained his MA from the University of Glasgow in 1802 before becoming a private tutor in the family of Colonel Dewar of Gilston. In May 1820, he was ordained minister of the Presbytery of St Andrew’s at Pittenweem where he served until his death in 1834. Rasmin and Ezellina seems to be his only publication.
