There is little certain information. He was listed as an insolvent debtor in 1827 when his occupation at 16 Pickett Street, London, was “pastrycook and confectioner.” Previously he had been a fishmonger at 20 Pickett Street. The preface to his book refers to his “five innocent children.” A Scourge for Lord Byron appears to be his only book. SR
